DraftBilling, Refund & Subscription Policy
This policy is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms.
1. Subscription billing
LNC sells access to the Service on a subscription basis. The plan, included entitlements, price, and billing cycle are set at the point of purchase. Subscriptions are paid in advance for the applicable billing cycle (typically monthly or annual).
2. Taxes
All fees are exclusive of taxes. You are responsible for all applicable taxes, including Canadian GST/HST, PST, and QST, and U.S. state and local sales, use, and similar taxes, except taxes on LNC's net income. Where LNC is required to collect taxes, they will appear on your invoice.
3. Payment processing
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe and other payment processors. By paying for the Service, you agree to the applicable processor's terms and authorize LNC and its processor to charge your selected payment method for the fees due. LNC does not store full payment card numbers.
4. Auto-renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle at the then-current applicable rate, unless cancelled before the renewal date. We will use reasonable efforts to remind you in advance of annual renewals where required by applicable law (including U.S. Automatic Renewal Laws such as California Civil Code §17602). You may cancel auto-renewal at any time from your account settings or by contacting [Billing/Support Email].
5. Failed payments
If a payment fails, the processor will typically retry over several days; we may notify you and request that you update your payment method; if the failure is not resolved within a reasonable cure period (typically seven (7) to fourteen (14) days), we may downgrade, suspend, or terminate the Service; and we may charge reasonable interest on past-due amounts and reasonable collection costs to the extent permitted by law.
6. Plan changes
- Upgrades take effect immediately. Fees for the remainder of the current billing cycle may be pro-rated and charged at the time of upgrade.
- Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle unless agreed otherwise. Downgrades may result in loss of entitlements, data, or features that exceed the lower plan's limits; you are responsible for exporting any data you need before the downgrade takes effect.
7. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting [Billing/Support Email]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing cycle.
8. Refunds
Refund requests for an initial subscription payment must be submitted within seven (7) days of the initial payment by contacting [Billing/Support Email]. Submitting a request does not guarantee that a refund will be issued; each request is subject to review by LNC.
Refund eligibility may depend on factors such as account usage, suspected abuse, setup or onboarding work already performed, third-party costs incurred by LNC, the applicable billing cycle, and applicable law. LNC may deny refund requests involving abuse, excessive usage, violation of the Terms or Acceptable Use Policy, completed services, or material third-party costs.
Renewal payments, add-ons, upgrades, custom setup or professional services, usage-based charges, third-party pass-through costs, and fees for completed services are non-refundable unless LNC agrees otherwise in writing or a refund is required by applicable law. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the current or prior billing cycles.
Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable refund right you may have under applicable consumer, contract, or automatic-renewal law. Where applicable law requires a different outcome, that law controls.
9. Trials and promotions
- A free trial converts to a paid subscription at the standard rate if not cancelled before the trial ends.
- Promotional discounts apply only to the period specified and do not extend to renewals.
- Trials and promotions may be modified or discontinued at any time.
- One trial per account, per legal entity.
10. Chargebacks and disputes
If you have a billing concern, contact [Billing/Support Email] first. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in suspension of the Service pending resolution. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in termination and recovery of related costs.
11. Price changes
LNC may change the price of the Service from time to time. For paying customers, price changes will apply to the next renewal and we will provide reasonable advance notice (typically thirty (30) days, or longer where required by law). If you do not accept a price change, you may cancel before it takes effect.
